Beanie from Korea|  Sunglasses from Korea | Dress by Tobi | Heels by Stylenanda

Last week I took a little road trip to Hearst Castle; although it could arguably be mistaken for a castle along the Mediterranean coast . Who knew the hills of California's coast would hold a beauty like this? All I needed to complete my California princess adventures was a skateboard and a boothang.

It's one thing to know the latest trends in fashion, it's another to know what works best for you and your body shape. I grew up with my mum constantly reminding me, "Just because it looks good on the mannequin doesn't mean it'll look good on you." Harsh? A little bit, but it taught me that just because it's a trend doesn't mean you have to wear it. Find your own style that makes you feel and look good. That's what having a good fashion sense is all about.

I've been obsessed with the skater or A-line silhouette for awhile now. So when I saw the "7th & Broadway Skater Dress" by Tobi in their latest lookbook, I knew I had to have it. This dress is subtly playful:  structured collar for the office, t-back and cutouts for a night out or a date. Since I wanted to go with a girly skater vibe, I paired this dress with wedge heel sandals, oversized sunnies, and a beanie. Now if I was actually skateboarding, I'd throw on some ankle socks and my Superstars with some kneepads of course.
